I attended Indiana University of PA where I received my BSN in December of 1976. I initially worked as an ICU nurse and then as an ER nurse at Monsour Medical Center for the next 15 years. After receiving my MSN (Education Track) from IUP in 1995, I taught in the Nurse Aide/Health Assistant program at Eastern Westmoreland Career & Technology Center for a year. I then gained further experience in Staff Development in the Education Department at Westmoreland Regional Hospital from 1997-1998.

I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau in 1995 and served as the treasurer for 6 years prior to becoming president in 2004.

I initially began teaching nursing at the undergraduate level in 1991 at Westmoreland County Community College. I taught in the ADN program as a fundamental skills lab instructor and as a clinical instructor in med-surg and long-term care. I also taught Medical Terminology for Allied Health students. I was hired as temporary faculty in the nursing department at IUP in 2000 and became an Assistant Professor in 2003. At IUP, I serve on the department Material Resources committee, Search committee, Awards committee, the College of Health & Human Services Retention committee and Technology committee, and as faculty advisor for Nurses Christian Fellowship.

Continuous employment in the nursing profession since graduation from Indiana Hospital School of Nursing in 1978. Experiences include orthopedics, critical care and emergency nursing at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh until 1985. Employed at Latrobe Area Hospital since 1985, in emergency room, nurse manager of a surgical unit, utilization review coordinator, and presently as Coordinator of Nursing Projects. Coordinator and facilitated the development of the newly implemented Career Advancement Program for nurses at Latrobe Area Hospital.

Ann has been a part-time nursing instructor for Westmoreland County community College since 1992. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and is a Certified Emergency Nurse since 1999. Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau in 1994, and vice president of Zeta Lambda Chapter since 2001.

I have been in nursing for 21 years with a clinical focus on maternal-child nursing and women's health.  I received my MSN from IUP in December of 1999.  My teaching experience includes 10 years as nursing faculty at Citizens School of Nursing.  I am a member of The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and The National League for Nursing (NLN).  I am a volunteer for the "Look Good Feel Better" program for the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Task Force in Butler County. I am currently a temporary faculty member at IUP and enrolled in the doctoral program at West Virginia University.
