Maintain qualifying Large Accounts on continuing service. Ensure service objectives address top loss drivers and that recommended solutions in action plans are designed to provide measurable risk reduction commensurate with corporate return on investment (ROI) goals. Work toward an annual increase in retention rate, on service book that is attributable to safety management involvement. • Effectively communicates verbally, and in writing, with internal and external customers to review exposures, discuss action plans and encourage additional service. • Efficiently manage work scheduling in order to meet production and core time distribution goals. • Prepare and present basic level technical presentations and safety training programs to internal or insured groups on a variety of safety topics and issues. • Maintain current knowledge of state of the art loss prevention and safety management techniques through self-education and training programs. This includes a strong knowledge of nationally recognized codes and standards as well as appropriate state regulations.
      Required Skills: • The following experience level is required: • Loss Prevention engineering and fire safety technology proficiency normally acquired through 3 -5 years of full time employment in this discipline. A commensurate level of knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and other similar technical standards, along with a working knowledge of commercial property casualty insurance coverages and risk evaluation techniques is also required. • Ability and desire to engage in weekly travel to meet with customers and agents, assess risk, develop and help implement customer risk control plans. • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and agents and inspire others to adopt loss control strategies and reach their loss reduction goals.       Job Description: The purpose of this role is to provide health, safety, environment and security (HSE) support at a home site, and lead HSE coordination under the direction of Regional HSE Manager for the mid-plains territory in North America.       Job Description: Job Description: Under the direction of the Regulatory Compliance and Safety Manager, the Health and Safety Specialist will work with the facilities as a resource to assist them in maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations as well as create a proactive approach to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). Key Responsibilities: • Conducts routine observations and field audits. Identify, recommend, and ensure implementation of improvements or changes to practices, policy, or procedures, • Attends and aids in the incident investigation process for serious injuries and incidents. • Leads PHAs for new facilities, major MOCs and 5 year revalidations. • Updates and conducting bi-annual review of assigned EHS policies. • Develops safety procedures and directives based on OSHA and EPA regulations. • Delivers safety related training and/or help facilitate training, o Conducts “train-the trainer” fork truck & Initial Emergency Response training as requested o Maintains Computer Based Safety Training (CBT) Program, • Serves as an expert on United States Cold Storage (USCS) Incident tracking system (HITTs) • Serves as a back up to the Regulatory Compliance and Safety Manager.
      Required Skills: Qualifications for this position include: • Experience working with warehousing, cold storage, ammonia, or other relevant experience. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Experience conducting training. • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office. Experience with PHApro software is a plus. • Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State and Local EH&S regulations and the ability to interpret requirements as they relate to United States Cold Storage. • Must be capable of creating and executing plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Must demonstrate ability to exercise judgment and tact when interfacing with employees and outside auditors, inspectors, and/or agency personnel. • Must be a self-starter that is able to work on and solve problems of diverse scope and complexity. • Experience in quality assurance (e.g., ISO 9001, BRC, SQF) is a plus. • RETA operator certification is a plus. • Travel required – 40-50%. • Position will be based in Voorhees, NJ but consideration will be given to other locations near USCS warehouses.
