The successful candidate must pass a criminal background screening, drug and alcohol testing and have an acceptable driving record. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The candidate must have the ability to physically perform the duties and work in the environmental conditions required of this position, which may involve frequent climbing of ladders and scaffolds to perform inspections and tests, perform visual examinations of mechanical devices and test articles. Frequently stand and/or walk for extended periods, sit, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and have the ability to taste and smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color and close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Candidate may be required to wear respiratory protection, hearing protective devices, basic construction personal protective equipment and other safety equipment as deemed necessary.
      Required Skills: WRITTEN, ORAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS: The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail applications such as Microsoft Outlook. Must be able to effectively communicate well with a variety of craft workers, management, client and customer personnel.
      Required Education: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline is preferred.
