Develops and implements key Safety Programs assuring a safe work environment. 2. Advises Site Managers in the interpretation and implementation of mandatory Federal, State and Local regulations. 3. Works directly with shop floor employees to understand and resolve safety concerns or issues. 4. Works with Domestic Manufacturing Site Managers and Safety Committees to acquire, prioritize, produce and schedule training identified as required under the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, job specific training resulting from safety hazard assessments and general non-mandatory safety training. 5. Coordinates and maintains accurate safety policies and procedures on the Safety Web Site on the company Intranet. 6. Leads Corporate Safety Audits. 7. Coaches and facilitates the Emergency Response Team concerning mandatory requirements and related training. 8. Implements programs to eliminate potential hazards in the work place by working closely with Domestic Manufacturing Site Managers, Facilities Engineering, Research and Development and Site Safety Committees. 9. Develops training to improve the quality of incident investigations and safety hazard assessment skills. Provide feedback to site management regarding the quality of these investigations and/or assessments. 10. Coordinates Industrial Hygiene surveys including noise, ventilation, chemical and ergonomic. Collects, assembles and assists in the analysis and interpretation of collected data. Recommends elimination/reduction of potential hazards in the workplace. 11. Provides direction and assistance to all subcommittees of all Site Central Safety & Health Committees. 12. Investigates accidents and incidents and ensures appropriate root cause analysis, corrective actions, follow-up and recordkeeping. 13. Active member of the Global Safety Council. 14. Represents Calgon Carbon during inspections by OSHA and other authorities as needed.
      Required Skills: Minimum 5 years experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to climb fixed industrial stairs and ladders, lift up to 50lbs, and wear PPE including respiratory protection. Travel Required up to 50%.
