Jon J. Pina has been a full time instructor/consultant
with the Safety Sciences Department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania
since 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience Education,
Master of Science in Geology, Master of Science in Safety Sciences from
Indiana University of PA. At IUP, Mr. Pina is assigned to the PA/OSHA Consultation
Program and teaches safety/industrial hygiene courses in the undergraduate
and graduate degree programs on a part time basis. Before coming to IUP
Mr. Pina served as a Health and Safety Manager for IT Group and an Environmental
Health and Safety Manager with ICF Kaiser Engineers, Inc. He was a plant
operator/safety manager for Kaiser Engineers at the EPRI Coal Quality facility
and a chemical plant operator for Stearns-Roger at the BI-GAS Pilot Coal
Gasification Plant. Initially he taught environmental sciences for the Westmont
School District.
