Ms. Olesen has provided safety and health consulting to industry
for 18 years. She is currently with the PA/OSHA Consultation Program at
Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Previously she has worked in construction,
battery manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and shipyard environments. Within
the PA/OSHA Consultation Program she consults to small employers from a
wide range of businesses. The main focus of the consultation visits is to
assist and advise small employers regarding OSHA compliance and safety program
development.
Her Master of Science degree was obtained from Drexel University and
her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She obtained
her certification in industrial hygiene in 1990 and her certification
in environmental training in 1995. She is both a local section and national
member of AIHA. Committee activities within AIHA include the communications
and training committee and the construction task force.
She has been a member of the Philadelphia section of AIHA since 1983 and
has previously served as secretary and currently as director. Other professional
affiliations include the National Environmental Training Association.
