Dr. Engler has been a full time faculty member with the Safety Sciences Department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania since 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management from the Pennsylvania State University and Master of Public Health and Doctor of Public Health degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. At IUP Dr. Engler teaches industrial hygiene courses in the undergraduate and graduate degree programs, served as the Director of Education for the National Environmental Education and Training Center, and presently serves as the Project Manager for the PA/OSHA Consultation Program. Before coming to IUP Dr. Engler served as an industrial hygiene consultant with Dynamac Corporation and a Loss Control Representative with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the occupational safety and health field.
