| Jan Wachter,
Associate Professor,
has a BS in Biology, an MS in Environmental Health, and a
Doctor of Science degree in environmental health. He also has an Executive
MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a certified safety
professional, a certified industrial hygienist, and a certified hazardous
materials manager, as well as being a certified reliability and quality
engineer.
Jan has over 20 years of service with the Federal government,
working largely in the national laboratory research complexes of the
Department of Energy. While with the Department of Energy, Jan served as
Deputy Director of Operations, Director of the Environment, Safety and
Health Division, and Chief of a number of research and development
branches. Jan has more recently been an environment, safety and health
consultant with TMS, Inc. and EG&G, Inc.
