Awards and Recognitions in 2008 - 2010

In 2010, Kristin Juhasz applied for the national PKP Fellowship and was selected as IUP’s nominee for the competition.  In April, Ms. Juhasz won a national PKP Award of Excellence ($5,000) and also received the Robert Reynolds Award ($500) from the IUP Chapter.  Ms. Juhasz will apply the Fellowship to her first year of study to be a physician’s assistant. 

In 2009, Lindsay Matolyak and Kirsten Kraker each won a national Emerging Scholar Award ($250). 

In 2009, Deanna Belsky won a national Study Abroad Scholarship.  She used her scholarship to study in China in summer 2009. 

In 2009, Elise Auvil and Marisa Goldstein applied for the national PKP Fellowship.  Ms. Auvil was selected as IUP’s nominee for the national competition.  Ms. Auvil ultimately won a national PKP Award of Excellence ($2,000) and also received a $500 scholarship from the chapter.  Marisa Goldstein received a $400 scholarship from the chapter. 

In 2008, Deanna Belsky and Elena Brandimarti each won a national Emerging Scholar Award ($250) and also received a gift of $50 from the IUP chapter.
