A: The Nuclear Medicine Institute at The University of Findlay is located in Findlay, Ohio, a city in northwest Ohio approximately 300 miles from IUP. The Community College of Allegheny County is located in Pittsburgh, PA, a city in southwest Pennsylvania approximately 60 miles from IUP.
A: The clinical year at NMI begins either in September or January of each year. The clinical year at CCAC begins in September of each year.
A: Students may enroll in phase one the pre-clinical courses, on a full-time or part-time basis. Phase two, the clinical component of the program, requires full-time study.
A: While at NMI students typically live in residence halls or university-owned houses located adjacent to the institute. Most students look for an apartment close to the site where they complete their clinical experience. Some students select an affiliating site close to family or friends and plan to stay with them during the clinical portion of the program. A few of the clinical sites offer housing in residence halls.
Students attending the program at CCAC typically live in apartments or with family or friends living in the Pittsburgh area.
A car is not necessary, but it may make transportation to and from your clinical location easier.
