Certificate Programs
Gerontology
The Gerontology Certificate Program creates an exciting opportunity for undergraduates with an IUP major to study aging from an interdisciplinary approach. The 21-credit program includes three core courses, three elective courses, and an internship that provides supervised learning experiences in an agency or program serving older adults. If you are interested in pursuing the Gerontology Certificate Program, complete the Certificate in Gerontology Application. The application is available in 244 Johnson Hall. The Allied Health Professions Office will advise you and monitor your progress in this program. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the program requirements and your graduation from IUP. Completion of the gerontology certificate program enhances job opportunities for graduates and facilitates career development.
Descriptions of Gerontology Certificate courses are available from the Undergraduate Catalog. |
