This page will be used to update information if it is necessary.  Dates and the appropriate information will be listed on this update page.  If you do not see any update information, there is no need to access this page at this time.

January 23, 2010 DISTRICT ENTRY WEB SITE IS UP AND RUNNING

This memo refers to District entries and is very important:

The websites for entries for both Districts and B Districts are up and running and ready to go.

For Districts, go to the Districts website:
http://www.hhs.iup.edu/hped/swmeets/2010ymcawestdistricts/
Then go under "Information for Coaches," click on "Electronic Entry Information Web Site"

And you are up and running, ready for District entries!!

For B Districts, go to the Districts website:
http://www.hhs.iup.edu/hped/swmeets/2010ymcawestdistricts/
In the upper left hand corner, click on "B Districts" and then go under "Information for Coaches" you can click on "Electronic Entry Information Web Site"

And you are up and running, ready for B District entries.

Now, here's a suggestion:  Take a trial run!  Download the meet file into your Team manager, enter a swimmer or 2, and actually enter the swimmer in Districts.  Remember, you can update your file an unlimited number of times.  See if you get the reports back (you will).  If you are brand new, just get the idea of how it works (if you've never used something like this before.  Remember, you can update swimmers (both numbers, names and times) an unlimited number of times until the entry deadline of Saturday, February 27, 2010.  Your new, updated entry file will replace the previous one.

Plan to look for a psych sheet in your mailbox soon after the deadline.  It is very important that you look at the psych sheet, especially for B Districts, because the entry deadline for the B meet
is 1 week prior to the actual meet, so things need to move fast!!

January 23, 2009 Coaches:

Usually IUP provides meet workers (timers, clerk, etc.) for B Districts!!.  Unfortunately, because of scheduling, B Districts will be held on March 6, 2010 which is during IUP's spring break.  If you
are willing to assist as a timer or work the clerk, please email jbsmith@iup.edu and inform me of you availability and interest in working.  Additionally, if you are a certified official and would be
interested in helping, email to same address.

Please tell all the coaches that Registration is open for teams and coaches. It is the same as last year. Password
is 9622 and then your association. This is for their Deck Passes for Dist./States/ and Nationals.

Go to: the address is ymcacompetitiveswim.org

Click on "Coaches." You can't miss it from there!!

YMCA Team Registration and Coaches Registration

Team Registration

Each year, all YMCAs with competitive swim teams must register their YMCA with their YMCA Group Rep.  For our area, our Group Rep is Glenda Pae

The registration process is accomplished via an Internet web-based online facility.  The web address is: http://www.ymcacompetitiveswim.org/

YMCA Team registration should only be done by one coach, preferably the Head Coach, for each YMCA.  

You do not need to register yourself on the web site to use the facility.  You will, however, need a password.  The password is 9622.

From the left side menu under FOR COACHES, there is a link to REGISTER TEAM.

This link will take you to a series of pages to enter your YMCA Association number, a password, and then a registration form.  If you registered last year, your previous information will be displayed for your review and editing.

At the end of the process, you will receive an email that includes the mailing address for Glenda where you will need to send your check for the $30 YMCA registration fee.

Coach Registration

Each coach should also register on this site.  Coaches registration is required for coaches to be on deck at Districts, States and Nationals.

At the same web site, from the left side menu under FOR COACHES, there is a link to REGISTER COACH.

If you registered last year, your previous information will be displayed for your review and editing.  Note: you will need the expiration dates for your certifications

There is no fee for registration of coaches

The head coach should register their YMCA team by Dec 1. 

Coaches should update all their certifications and register by Feb 1.
