Master of Education in Health and Physical
Education
There are still a
few spaces available for the new Summer 2006 cohort now forming!
Master of Education in Health and
Physical Education offers currently certified health and physical educators
an opportunity to study advanced teaching techniques and current trends in
the field (36 credits). It also offers non-certified individuals who
hold a bachelor's degree to obtain teaching certification in Health and
Physical Education (42-48) credits.

Master
of Science in Sport Science
The Master of Science degree in
Sport Science is designed to meet the needs students of from
non-teaching professions, as well as from the teaching profession.
The program is discipline specific with provision for students to
choose from among four different academic tracks: Sport Management, Exercise
Science, Aquatics
Administration/Facilities Management, and Sport Studies.
According to their selected program of study, students are prepared for a
variety of competitive employment opportunities including management and
administration of sport/athletic programs, corporate and community health
and fitness facilities, hospital/medical based exercise programs, and
recreation programs in both school and community settings. See

Track requirements
Students may select either a thesis (30 s.h.) or non-thesis (36 s.h.)
program of study. Completion of a professional internship is strongly
recommended for students choosing the non-thesis option.
