The
College of Health and Human Services offers a large variety of quality programs
with national reputations and prestigious accreditations.
Outstanding support services
– such as advising, mentoring and co-curricular
activities – help our students succeed. They receive national awards:

American Dietetic
Association (ADA) Outstanding Dietetic Students,

American Dietetic Association
Foundation (ADAF) Scholarships,

Mead Johnson Nutritionals/Bristol Myers Squibb
Scholarships, and

David Johnson Family Safety Sciences Scholarship.
They
become leaders in student chapters of national
professional organizations:
- the
American Society of Interior Designers (ASID),
- CDFR Council (Child Development
and Family Relations),
- Family and Consumer Sciences Association,
- Phi Epsilon
Kappa (health, physical education, recreation and safety professions),
- Sigma
Theta Tau International (nursing professional organization), and
- the
Student Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Students have exceptional opportunities for hands-on learning, such as
internships, clinical practice and practicums in the real world.

Students are placed in more than 200 clinical practice sites.
- Among
our internship sites are Interpol, the National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children, Disney World, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Customs
Service, Hershey Medical Center, and labor relations boards across the U.S.
There is a 95% placement rate upon graduation.
Students often receive
multiple offers of employment. Many national corporations and organizations
seek out our interns and graduates. For example, graduates have taken positions at:
