Dr. Susan S. Dahlheimer has been a faculty member at IUP since 1974. She earned a PhD in Higher Education from the University of Pittsburgh, MS in Nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University, and a BS in Food and Nutrition from Carnegie Mellon University. She teaches FDNT 355, Nutrition in Disease I; FDNT 455, Nutrition in Disease II; LBST 499, The Battle for Perfection; FDNT 604, Medical Nutritional Therapy; FDNT 605, Nutrition Intervention Strategies; and FDNT 743, Clinical Dietetics. In addition, she is the Faculty Rotation Coordinator for the IUP Dietetic Internship's Nutrition Intervention Rotation. Her program and research interests include: disordered eating, nutrition intervention, and dietetic education. Her awards and honors include: Charter, Fellow of the American Dietetic Association; Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award, Pennsylvania, 1999. She regularly attends and has made professional presentations at the American Dietetic Association Annual Meeting. She is a member of the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists dietetic practice group and the Pennsylvania Dietetic Association.
