Mrs. Harvey received her BS in Dietetics from IUP, where she also completed
her dietetic internship and master’s degree in Food and Nutrition. Her
instructional responsibilities are to teach: FDNT 143, Nutrition and Wellness,
FDNT 145, Introduction to Nutrition, FDNT 151, Foods Lab and FDNT 470 Food and Culture. Her program and
research interests include: nutrition and disease, culinary, food service, and
written communication for the public. Recent Professional Development: Member
of the Food and Culinary Professionals and Weight Management professional
practice groups within the American Dietetic Association. In 2005, Mrs. Harvey
earned a Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management
through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. In 2007 she earned a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the American Dietetic Association's Commissoin on Dietetic Registration. Mrs. Harvey is also the advisor for the Student Dietetic Association (SDA).
